Original Contemporary Christian and Gospel expressions with a decidedly soulful edge   Daughter of evangelist, great Gospel organist, and composer, Ray Ludwig, Rae Marie was in the company of preachers and accomplished musicians from the time she was born. As a toddler, her father was organist for Doris Akers, renowned composer of “Sweet, Sweet Spirit.” Akers had a profound impact on Rae Marie’s vocal style. During her formative years, she spent as much time traveling with her father as possible while he preached and played piano and organ with other ministers such as Hilton Sutton (Mission to America), Dr. C.M. Ward (Revivaltime Broadcast), Kenneth Copeland, Jimmy Swaggart, and others. She also assisted her father as he began a church in Henderson, TX in the 1980s, Abundant Life Fellowship, and traveled throughout the United States ministering with him.  This upbringing developed within her an understanding of the importance of worship through song and a desire to see the Fine Arts take their rightful place in the Kingdom.    As a teenager, Rae Marie was active in Band and Choir programs in school.  She was a member of the Texas All-State Choir, Baptist All-State Choir, Living Song (Baptist All-State Ministry Team), All-Region and All-Area Choirs and Bands, Baptist All-State Band, church and community performance groups, and more.  As an adult, she has continued her love of music through study, teaching private lessons, and ministry.   Rae Marie and her husband of 25 years, Charles, are both graduates of LeTourneau University and serve in their local Texas school district.  Rae Marie and Charles have two sons in area colleges. Through the years, she has had the opportunity to lead choirs and praise teams for children, youths, and adults. She and Charles have served as children’s pastors and youth directors with various ministries. She has taught in three area schools (Music, Art, and General Education).     “Fleet of Dreams,” Rae Marie’s first CD (to be released March 25, 2014), is filled with original compositions that express her relationship with the Savior and His people.  This recording has always been in her heart and we’re sure there are more to come!
