Aubrey Wood is a twenty-year-old songwriter and artist from West Hartford, Connecticut now living full time in Los Angeles.   When just sixteen years old, Aubrey released her first EP titled “Aubrey Wood” with all the music written and performed by Aubrey on vocals and acoustic guitar.   A strong assembly of contributing performers included K.C. Porter, J.B. Eckl, and Paul Gonzales.  Aubrey’s EP gained a broad following with well over 1,000,000 track plays online and a growing base of listeners on several music streaming sites.  Her popular single, “Heart”, has been a consistent presence at the top of the charts on MTV’s OurStage with the music video for the single reaching number one in multiple months and driving over 50,000 plays on YouTube. At nineteen, Aubrey wrote and released her second EP, “Picking Petals”.  Featuring five original tracks all written and performed by Aubrey, the composition is an artistic departure from the first EP. Each song on “Picking Petals” is a chapter outlining an emotional moment and an associated poignant lesson. “There is no greater source of material for storytelling than the challenges and difficult decisions that line the path toward adulthood”, said Aubrey.  With an upbeat flair thanks to producer and artist, Gia Sky, the EP features fantastic guitar riffs, keyboards and a wealth of fresh innovative sounds.  Aubrey is an avid and active supporter of the rapidly expanding non-profit organization, Unified Theater.  Her song, “Fly”, was written and performed by Aubrey with the stellar support of Bella Blue and Trevor Jackson (From Disney’s “Let It Shine”) on background vocals as its theme song.  Unified Theater puts the spotlight on ability by creating student-led theater groups that let young people with and without disabilities shine!  In just a few short years, Aubrey’s music has gained broad exposure.  With hundreds of thousands of plays on Pandora, Spotify, YouTube and many others, Aubrey has established a strong foundation in the music community and is a regular featured artist performing at local venues in the Los Angeles area.  Her music is heard and recognized globally and is now featured in the very popular online game, Our World, providing ever greater exposure.   Aubrey continues to work on projects as her own artist, as well as for other artists around the world.  With clients that include up-and-coming performers from Europe to Japan to the US, Aubrey continues to compose innovative music landing at the top of the iTunes charts worldwide.  Among her own performances during this year, Aubrey has launched two new songs; one supporting  Gia Sky called “Backwards” which can be heard here on this site.  The second coming soon is a new composition called “Shade of Blue” which further stretches Aubrey’s range with a distinct country feel and as always, a story within her lyrics that is reflective and moving.
