The Spanish Channel is a guitar driven, melodic pop/rock band – catchy, uptempo, and full of harmonies with lyrics that tell the stories of living in New York City. Like most people, they grew up hoping to fill out an Armani suit with an open collar, to have beautiful slicked-back hair, and to share a starlit dinner with a deep-eyed brunette by the pool of their villa in Bogota, moments before being assassinated. Music and passion were always the fashion: a purple ruffled dress, a gun lying on a tile floor, the strum of a guitar in a hidden courtyard. Instead, they ended up in Brookyln, NY. Somewhere in the world between Weezer, Foo Fighters, Fountains of Wayne, and Ben Folds lies The Spanish Channel — the band your heart has been looking for. They all grew up in the beautiful suburbs where nothing ever happened, and Telemundo and Univision were their escape to the more dramatic and colorful world of The Spanish Channel.
