Raised throughout Europe, Oz undertook classical training in violin, piano and guitar at the tender age of 4 at the ECM Conservatory in Switzerland. He began performing with his rock band, “Ten Dollars Regular” as a teenager and the group launched by opening for Bush at the H20 festival in Istanbul, then performed at Reading, Roskiilde, Leeds, and other international music festivals. After leaving the band to do a solo tour through Europe, Oz took a break from touring to attend the Sorbonne University in Paris, receiving a Master’s degree in Environmental Law. . Now a seasoned solo artist and a dedicated singer, guitarist and songwriter, Oz’s first debut American album, “Broken Pieces”, is a collection of melodic rock tracks that includes several tracks about Oz’s personal life experiences on the road, and an edgy rendition of R.E.M.’s “The One I Love”. Recorded and produced by Steve Carlson and Darren Sher at The Sound Parlor in Las Vegas, and mixed by four time Grammy Award winner Jeff Julliano, the CD is the culmination of Oz’s many years cultivating a distinctive lyrical style and complex pop-rock songwriting. On tracks like “Feel Like I Belong” and “Bliss”, Oz transports the listener to a world of swirling melodies, fat guitar riffs, and hook-driven lyrics. . When asked what inspired Oz to write the songs on Broken Pieces, he says, “I’ve been touring for the better part of twelve years now, and life on the road is an intense experience. These songs are all about the people I’ve met and the place I’ve been while playing my music. The album is extremely personal and meaningful to me, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with a U.S. audience.”
