Noblesse Oblige

All of the elements of an indie-pop classic combine in this third track off Alpines' debut album, Strange Company, but with some interesting twists that set it apart from the cookie-cutter crowd. Playfully sardonic--and curiously surrealist--lyrics, shimmering U2-esque guitars, and subtle time-signature changes reveal Alpines to be one of the most sophisticated indie acts to emerge from snowy New England in recent years.
