Gray or Blue

Description
My wife and I were hanging out with our good friend Kate, and we were talking about how we were all a bit stuck with our individual creative projects. So, we decided to do something together just for fun. "Let's write a song!" So we sat down for a few hours one night and wrote this. We recorded it the next day. Then I decided I liked it so much it needed to be the first single off my second album.
Lyrics
Kate: Pitter patter what’s the matter my boots are aching to go outside. Lee: All these raindrops on the rooftops let’s just stay in and we can hide. Kate: Like the rain I fall on you Both: Whether the weather is gray or blue. Lee: It’s a wonder you like thunder it’s drowning out my memory Kate: I like lightning because it’s frightening so I can hold you next to me Lee: that’s okay but I’ll hold you Both: Whether the weather is gray or blue Both: I see storm clouds in your eyes, we’ll dance until the sidewalks dry The sun’s not out but I’ll be fine because you’re mine Ooooh.............. Guitar solo Kate: Rain keeps comin’ don’t start running Lee: I’m right here and here’s your coat Kate : If it floods then we can float, wait, how? Lee: I’ll commandeer a boat Both: I see storm clouds in your eyes, we’ll dance until the sidewalks dry The sun’s not out but I’ll be fine because you’re mine Ooh.............. Lee: I hate the rain but I love you Both: Whether the weather is gray or blue Kate: I love the rain and I love you Both: Whether the weather is gray or blue Whether the weather is gray or blue Whether… the weather… is gray or blue
