Description
Upon hearing of the death of Shannon Hoon (Blind Melon's lead singer), I was inspired to write this song. Although I have "personalized" it, it contains many of the thoughts and feelings I had during that time. Later, when Hurricane Katrina struck, it took on a different meaning and I could not perform it for several months. But it is one of my very first songs, and it will always be special for me.
