This piece is based around the Hijaz scale (Mixolydian b9, b13)...The B section touches upon the Hijazkiar scale (Mixolydian b9, b13, #7)...the A section groove is loosely based on a Eastern tsifteteli beat and then the B section, which is in 7/8 time is similar based on Pontian (Bleack Sea) Rhythms.
