PlaySorry, Jack

by The James Machine

This song reflects the White Stripes influence, which frequently reflect Led Zeppelin, which frequently released blues covers as originals. The melody I was singing reminded me of Cream. The guitar break in the chorus is straight up Black Sabbath.

The idea that rock & roll eats itself and poops out equally good rock & roll is awesome to me.

From the self-produced album "Sour Grapes", which I wrote and recorded in my bedroom during a week off from work.
