Bio:
Vegas native Anu~Sun is a BMI artist/ songwriter whose music offers an eclectic blend of Hip-Hop, Funk and Jazz. Being a drummer and godson of Jazz legend Lionel Hampton, Anu’s love for music runs deep. In 2006 Anu’s music video “Soul Brotha” was included in BETJ’s “Top 50 videos of 2006.” The artist has also been featured on the BETJ program “Chonicles of the Underground. To date Anu has opened for such reputable artist as A Tribe Called Quest, Dwele, Bilal, Talib Kweli, Pharaoh Monch, Amel Laurrieux and Raheem DeVaughn. Anu and his band have also played numerous private events for Mark Ecko Enterprises and Scion.

When asked to his describe the direction of his sophomore project "The Adventures of Mr. Las Vegas" Anu say's “It’s the genre blurring, maturation Hip Hop. It’s the step child of 80’s nuwave, P-funk and jazz. It’s an honest reflection of the life of a Vegas native". The video for “CUM&getIT" (a track off the album) debuted on BETJ’s (now Centric) “Soul Sessions” early 2009. The title track of the album "Mr. Las Vegas" (feat. Omar Lyefook, Robert Glasper and Chris Dave) is currently receiving quite the buzz! So if you're looking for a break from the same old song, come travel thru the lights with Mr. Las Vegas!
