Raised in Sarasota, Fl., Citi Lamar started out in the usual churches of the south. Pushed and raised to play multiple instruments for the Church and groups attending Gospel Expos, conferences, and conventions; Citi played his first talent show at 11 at Sarasota's Southside Elementary School. From there it would be his wanting to pursue music one day. After Graduarion from High School, and College; Citi joined the U.S. Army and for twenty plus years served numerous roles and became mentors of up and coming soldiers who would one day go on to protect America's freedoms. During his tenure though Citi still made it his point to pursue special duties as a member of the Army bands and choruses that travel all around the U.S. and abroad. Now retired, is fast becoming a name in his now hometown of Fayetteville, N.C., where his influence is being viewed as musical intelligence and Jazz ideas purely real, and original to those who have heard his musical vibrations. When asked who he would dream of doing a collaboration musically on stage, Selena Albright was his first choice then in 2006. When asked again by the infamous Victor Brooks in 2021; the answer again was Mrs. Selena Albright.. Citi has continued climbing on the underground ladder to the above ground surreal world of Jazz, to the number one ranking on ReverbNation's:Jazz Charts compared to the other artists in competition along side himself.
