2008 nominees for the best UK unsigned band at the Vodafone Live Awards, radio interviews in LA and TV appearances in Hollywood; being challenged to a drinking contest by WWE Wrestler ‘The Miz’ (and beating him hands down); the soundtrack behind their sponsor Henri Lloyd Jeans and reaching the No1 spot on the indie charts for their first single ‘Remember Thinking’. Welcome to Elmor’s world. Guildford boys- Luke, Tristan, Andy, John, and Rich then came back with their second single ‘The Wedding Song’ which bizarrely reached No3 in the national charts of Qatar! A second UK tour shortly followed and ended with a monumental performance at Wembley Stadium, playing to 23,000 people, Elmor are surely the hottest new indie band leaping out of the underground circuit and into the attention of the mainstream masses. ‘The Wedding Song’ has also been picked up and is being used as the music for the Mercedes F1 Petronas team promo video. The band can now count celebs such as Mark Ronson (catching them at the Vodafone Live Music Awards) and Natasha Bedingfield as fans; with the latter popping down to the band’s Britbus Showcase at London’s O2 Islington Academy tour, declaring their song ‘Little Bit’ as a firm personal favourite. Admiration for the band doesn’t stop there. National radio DJs Rob Da Bank (Radio One), John Kennedy (XFM), Tim Shaw (Absolute Radio), and Tom Robinson (BBC 6MUSIC) have all been supporting the lush pop sounds of Elmor. ‘A sound honed to perfection, the boys are surely on the verge of stardom’ shouts The Daily Mirror, and their growing legion of fans couldn’t agree more. "Elmor are the most promising Indie band to hit the UK in a long time. With quality songs such as One Step and Why I Had To Go, the boys are surely on the verge of stardom. A sound honed to perfection, bigger stages surely await this unique group" DAILY MIRROR "Alot of scope and expansiveness to the music, a certain kind of wind-swept romanticism too.....very impressive!" THE INDEPENDENT "Ever since The Beatles, The Small Faces, The Who and The Rolling Stones famously flitted between Carnaby Street's boutiques and music bars- following in their footsteps are indie-pop outfit Elmor, who bought the street to a standstill as the only band to play a live showcase by fashion label Henri-Lloyd, who have hand picked the boys to be the sound of their HL jeans campaign" METRO "A face-off between the west coast of America indebted soaring melodies of the Thrills and the day-glo pop of the hirsute Magic Numbers, with a dash of stadium rock U2 and even industrial Editors-esque riffs" THE FLY “The first time I listened to this band I was literally blown away! These guys are hot…they are by far the best band I have heard in a very long time!" INDIE 104 RADIO- LA “Songs that make you smile... Love it!” LIZA KUMJIAN-SMITH “AMERICAN IN LONDON” RODNEY ON THE ROQ SHOW KROQ 106.7 FM (LA) "Indie at its best.................10/10" UNSIGNED MAGAZINE "These guys will go very far......"
