In the South the phrase 'High Cotton' recalls a time when your fortune was determined by the success of your crops. If you grew cotton and things went well….the cotton was 'high' and your success (at least for that season) was guaranteed. Hence, the name...we are betting on success

High Cotton started as a duo with Laura and John Monk in 2003, PJ found Laura & John and joined to make a trio in the Fall of 2005. And now, in 2007, with the addition of Dan, on lead guitar their sound is complete.
