Kellin Watson has been playing music and writing songs for the past 12 years. Releasing her rst demo album, Little things in 1998, Kellin got her rst taste of recording in a studio. Kellin Watson has been playing music and writing songs for the past 12 years. Releasing her rst demo album, Little things in 1998, Kellin got her rst taste of recording in a studio. Since then, she released her debut solo inde album, Paper Bird, in December 2003, at 22. After touring the east coast, Kellin recorded her second album with her band in 2005, Kellin Watson Band LIVE, Red Flag. Proving to be a fan favorite, Kellin decided to head back into the studio in 2007. Her latest album, No Static was recorded at Echo Mountain Studio in Asheville NC. In addition to recording her 3rd solo album in 2007, Kellin was also lucky enough to appear on a couple dierent television shows. Studio South(www.studiosouth.tv) shot for HDTV. As well as a show for CMT called Big Break, in which Kellin Watson made her rst nationwide television debut on August 4th 2007. Kellin was chosen as one of the top 2 nalists out of the top 40 contestants from western NC to compete to open for Sara Evans at The Thomas Wolfe Aud. Kellin's latest album, No Static includes an array of talented musicians. The album includes a song written by Grammy Award winning Gordie Sampson called Your Place In this World as well as a few guest appearances from members of Afromotive, Sugarhill recording artists The Duhks, local singer-songwriter Tyler Ramsey, and many others. More recently, two of Kellin's songs, When Is Enough Enough, and Ship were both featured on internationally syndicated television show, Degrassi: The Next Generation in 2008 and 2009. Ship was such a popular song on Degrassi, that teenagers across America made it, the number 1 downloaded song o of No Static, in addition to posting their own "Youtube" renditions of the song, and video. Watson also received an Honorable Mention award for "Chains Of Love" by Billboard Music Magazine, for one of the top 100 "hit songs" written for 2008/2009. Watson has shared the stage with, and opened for such national acts as, Jessica Simpson, Amos Lee, The Duhks, Susan Tedeschi, and Little Feat, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Walter Wolfman Washington, members of Donna The Bualo and Richie Havens to name a few. Watson also made a friend and industry guide in Smashing Pumpkins front man, Billy Corgan the Summer of 2007, after he caught one of her sets at The Biltmore Estate in Asheville NC. Corgan helped connect Kellin to one of the most respected and personal Music Licensing Firms in the US, Evolu- tion Music Partners, with whom she now works with today.
