Biography

Ray Sharp (www.raysharp.com) began playing the piano at 12. By the age of 13 he had composed dozens of contemporary and classical piano solos. In high school he wrote and directed two wind symphony performances and began performing at restaurants throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. Ray Sharp (www.raysharp.com) began playing the piano at 12. By the age of 13 he had composed dozens of contemporary and classical piano solos. In high school he wrote and directed two wind symphony performances and began performing at restaurants throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. While in college Sharp supported himself by performing solo piano in churches, restaurants, hotels, and art museums. In 2000 Ray was discovered by the critically acclaimed improvisational comedy troupe Four Day Weekend while playing at a local restaurant and was asked to be a guest musician where, after 6 months, he became their musical director. He has also been commissioned to write the music for two comedy revues, national commercials, television theme songs, short film, and video games. In the spring of 2001 Sharp released his first full length solo piano album, Exaudio, followed up by an ambient/electronic album, Eros.
