Born and raised as a Dairy Farmers Daughter In PeeWee, WV. The youngest of three girls and the lucky daughter of two loving parents. I started singing by the side of the piano with my sister Mendy. I'd stand on my tip toes over the side of her shoulder and belt it out. I would sing every opportunity I got, talent shows, Churches, Festivals, Fairs, Family gatherings, the shower, anywhere i could sing a tune. At 15, my Dad took me into the studio to record my first CD, it was called "Gods Eyes." He booked me at 2-3, sometimes 4 Churches a weekend. The calender was booked and me, mom and dad would take off with my little Karaoke machine and go where the doors were open! In 2002, I lost my Dad, manager and biggest supporter. For a while, I kind of let the music set on the back burner while I had to re evaluate everything in life and what I was suppose to be doing with myself. In 2003, i would meet my new biggest supporter, my best friend, my husband, Arnold. At this point, I knew if i was gonna keep singing, I would need something new, a bit of a change. So, having the Country roots that I did, we started a Bluegrass band. No more soundtracks for this girl! It was the real deal and I was loving it, Guitar, Banjo, Fiddle, and upright bass. But, this to came to and end. At this point, we moved to KY and I started searching for a new musical direction. I soon got a call from a guy who had heard me in Charleston, WV playing with the bluegrass band. He was persistent that I get him a demo. He said he had a friend in Nashville that he wanted to hear it. So I went into a studio in KY and recorded three songs and put together a little "package," Not really thinking much about it, I happened to get a phone call a couple weeks later. The guy on the other line was the guy from Nashville and he wanted us to come and meet him. We packed up and took a road trip and hit it off with the Country Producer. We started traveling once a month to Nashville and then before i knew it...one day, we looked at each other and said it's time to make the big move. Bags packed within a week or two, we were out the door and on our way to Music City! I was gonna be the next Country Star, Or...so i thought. Months in, studio time, songs being pitched to me, something just wasn't jiving. The songs they were pitching always got the same response from me, "that song is incredible, and you know what, i'm gonna probably hear that on the radio in a few months, but it's just not Sarah conant." So, my producer encouraged me, maybe you should give writing a try. I was skeptical at first, mainly because I had never written a song or seen myself as a songwriter. Despite my doubts, I sat down and tried. I wrote one song, called "Blue skies." I took the song to him to see what he thought and it turned out, that even though it wasn't Country, it was good. I kept writing and the songs that followed weren't country either, much to our suprise. This would send me in a new direction and set me on the course to discovering the Artist that I believe I was born to be. This was the turning point, and for the first time in my life, I wasn't just singing other peoples songs, I was creating them. Since that time, I've wrote quite a few songs. I feel like I've finally discovered myself and who I am as an Artist and person. Currently I'm living in Nashville, writing songs every chance I get and doing every thing I can to get my music out there for the world to hear.
