"Now that there is a new era in music, I feel it's mandatory to bring my dynamic to the forefront. The state of hip-hop and lyrical content is disappointing. It is imperative that I'm heard." -Scorsazy CHILDHOOD SCORSAZY was born Steven Shack and raised in the heralded "Village Of Harlem" section in New York City. As a youth he was always aware of his God given abilities in athletics and academics. Scorsazy realized these truths early and utilized them with every facet of his being. He was exposed to music right from the cradle. His mother and sister always blasted music from their favorite artists at home. Legends like Al Green, Smokey Robinson, Stephanie Mills and Anita Baker were Scorsazy's constant reminders of the power of music. When Scorsazy's sister purchased his first rap album, "Bigger and Deffer" by LL Cool J, he was inspired to write and perform hip hop music. After dropping out New York City's prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School, Scorsazy was enticed to street life and fast money. With the beckoning of his cousin and best friend, C-GANZ, he continued to write music despite leaving school. MUSIC CAREER In 2000 Scorsazy joined self-proclaimed rap supergroup, Back-2-Back Entertainment. Comprised of members who were from different parts of Harlem, they were primed and gifted enough to take the music industry by storm. In the latter part of that year, he was arrested and ultimately convicted on drugs and weapons charges and spent time in jail. This time allowed him to take stock and gain a new intuition into his life. He reconnected with his producer and friend, Jay Brown also known as CODE RED. Upon his release, he discovered his best friend had garnered a recording contract with RUFF RYDERS Entertainment. This reignited Scorsazy's fire for music and he gained knowledge and insight being in close proximity to the music business. Back 2 Back Entertainment released 4 albums as a unit and Scorsazy was prominently featured on each LP. This experience allowed him to master the art of direct marketing and distribution, making him a pioneer in the streets of Harlem. In 2003, the murder of Scorsasy's close friend and crew member DAN-O really hit home. Scorsasy went back to the lure of the streets. Things took another bad turn and he was re-incarcerated in 2004. Upon his re-release, Scorsazy's relationship with Back to Back Entertainment became strained. He teamed up with his producer CODE RED and Scorsazy's passion for music returned in abundance. Working vigorously on material, Scorsazy perfected his craft masterfully and Harlem endorsed him. He is poised for triumph. Scorsazy is no longer content with sacrificing and playing the background. The forthcoming debut album, "The Director's Cut", is heavily anticipated by the streets and record labels alike. Scosazy is C.E.O. of his own music imprint, "Movie Muzik", that includes a roster of hungry Harlem lyricists. The direction is clear. With a style second to none and a superior lyrical capicity, Scorsazy is showing why the phrase "the truth" is desecrated.
