Seeking Sui is a progressive melodic pop-rock act hailing from Tallahassee, Florida. As a band, Seeking Sui has been direct support for national acts such as: King's X, Blind Melon, Alien Ant Farm, Days of the New, The Ataris, Rx Bandits, Rusted Root, Mayday Parade, Stereoside, Men Women and Children, Petey Pablo and Jimmy's Chicken Shack. Additionally, the music of Seeking Sui has received continuous radio play on all of Tallahassee's local rock stations, and on various stations reaching as far as Michigan. Locally, the band has received 'most requested titles' with two songs ("Monsters In Green", and "Out Of Time" from their 2006 album release entitled, Two Weeks). Due to the onslaught of fan requests, the songs were retired from the request lines with guaranteed rotation on the programs. The bands single, “Jokes on You” off their 2008 release, Revolution Goes Around has been requested and played on various radio stations such as Banana rock 101.5 in Michigan to Real Hit Radio in the UK. In addition, the band reached the world songwriting semifinals in the Disc Makers Independent Music World Series 2008. In 2008, the band recorded a seven song EP, Revolution Goes Around with Brett Hestla (Dark New Day/Virgos Merlot/Creed). After meeting at the Florida Music Festival in Orlando and hearing a track off Seeking Sui's previous record Two Weeks, Hestla took the opportunity to work with the band in creating a powerful and meaningful EP as both recording engineer and producer. As a testament to the band's work ethic, the entire EP was arranged, produced, and recorded in seven days at Hestla's private studio. Seeking Sui has had extensive touring experience with Revolution Goes Around, playing Florida Music Festival 2008, and being featured on the Ernie Ball Stage at Warped Tour 2008. In May 2009, Seeking Sui headed back into studio, recording a six song EP entitled, Project Gen X, at Earthsound Studios recorded by Lee Dyess. After recording, the band signed with the California-based label, GoDIY Records. Seeking Sui is currently promoting Project Gen X, with their single “Believe It or Not.” The trio will be heading back into the studio in May 2010 to record their brand new songs. Seeking Sui's latest album, Project Gen X, can be puchased on iTunes.
