About Something Profound

Old Bridge, NJ

Something Profound is a band fom New Jersey. Founed by Danny Toth (lead guitar), and Josh Pross (Rythmn Guitar) when one day were reunited as friends at the viewing of a high school friends passing. They wanted to start a band as a tribute to that friend. They asked their also high school friend and drummer Orlando Herrera, and Josh's cooworker & siger Dustin Baker. The band had come together, but were short a bass player. Dustin picked up the bass one day and it was a match made in heaven. However, the times were tough for drummer Orlando Herrera, and stepped down on good terms to not hold he band back. Enter Pedro Salizar. The band took off entering Battles and even proforming at Starland Ballroom. The band later held spots for bass players to help Dustin really focus on vocals. However, things were brewing up, and the band was falling apart, with the new bassist & Pedro leaving, the band was at a stand still for 7 whole months. The return of drummer Orlando Herrera, 3 years after leaving the band, gave a much needed boost of confidence, excitement, and a renewed sense of commitment for the band. After just 2 practice runs, the band has never sounded better. With the original members of Something Profound back in the sadle the for future is anything we make of it, and all... For the Greater Good.
