"If Sunny Side Up were one of Detroit’s famous motor vehicles, they’d be a top-down convertible, driving a back country road on a sunshiny Sunday afternoon." ~ Indie-Music.Com This dynamic, acoustic-driven duo combined forces as Sunny Side Up in 2008 and began their own unique Indie-Pop sound performing original music falling somewhere between Jason Mraz and Ingrid Michaelson. Emerging from the suburbs of Detroit, Sunny Side Up is sinking their melodic hooks into the minds of everyone who hears their sound. 2009 delivered great reviews for the up-and-coming duo with kudos from various industry publications and online Indie radio stations. In May, Sunny Side Up was selected as Indie-Music.com’s Editors Pick of the Month and retained the 1 spot on the “Singer Songwriter Charts” for three consecutive months. The band was also highlighted in Music Connection Magazine and Hear/Say: America's College Music Magazine where they received great reviews. Sunny Side Up hit the airwaves as a featured guest on the Mitch Albom show on Detroit’s WJR radio and played on several popular internet radio stations like FM102x, RadioNY.org, Women of Substance Radio, RadioElectric.com, and MVYradio.com, which is one of the most listened-to internet radio stations in the world. Their 2009 summer tour included 35 gigs opening for artists such as Ryan Cabrera and standing on their own as headliners for major music festivals like Born to Play: Live (the largest-ever simultaneous live acoustic music event, hosted by Gap), THRIVE FEST 2009, and the Ann Arbor Music Festival. The news keeps getting better—Sunny Side Up is just hitting its creative stride. Their much anticipated album, “Not Related” is set to be released in January 2010.
