VQEE... was born and raised in the beautiful land of Kenya in the East of the
African continent. She is bred of two tribes...the KIKUYU from the central
part of Kenya and the KAMBA from the east...she grew up in the
cosmopolitan capital, NAIROBI in the midst of different cultures, tribes and
lifestyles.VQEEs professional journey began with one of Kenyas biggest theatre companies `Heartstrings Ensemble´and worked on several Theatre and Musical productions

including ‘’Pulling down Babel” “Three African Sisters” “Enough is Enough” and
“African Julius Caesar” . In 1997 VQEE was accorded a special recognition at the annual Mbalamwezi Theatre Awards.The following year she was invited for a six month cultural exchange program at the Agoro Theatre Company in Capecoast Ghana, a program that was sponsored by the British Council and the Royal Danish Embassy.There she studied Ghanaian dance and drumming and shared her own Kenyan culture through dance and music.She participated in the MASA African Festival that was held in Abidjan Cote DÍvoire in the year 1999. While in Ghana VQEE also appeared in a music Video for British singer Peejay Scott.
In the year 2000, VQEE was invited for a summer program in Media and production at the UCLA California US where she continued to live and perform
with actors, musicians,
choreographers and filmmakers. She made her first song n video `Chini kwa Chini´ that was produced by Bernard NETO and in collaboration with American Rap duo Brown Fish. VQEE also participated in Kali Ma, a musical based on the Hindu Mythology that was written and directed by Emery Lauten. Other productions she was involved in included Street Jam TV, a First Power production for BET ( Black Entertainment Television).VQEE moved to Denmark in 2007 after getting married to
singer/songwriter/producer Claus Seest with whom shes working
on her debut album.
In 2009,VQEE has done several shows that have included among others, opening for the MAGIC SYSTEM famous for Ngau song in Copenhagen Denmark and Kenyas own superstar NAMELESS in Stockholm Sweden.She has also been nominated for BEST UPCOMING ARTIST at the 2009 CELEBRATE AFRICA ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS DENMARK.Her music is a merge of different worlds.A beautiful
blend of the more traditional,authentic, untainted african sounds and the
more modern, western sounds, thereby creating a beautiful, unique, pop sound.
