IN THEIR WORDS:
From the Innocent age of 5 Yirayah has been living his life's passion - Music! From playing congas with his father on the dirty park benches of Brownsville Brooklyn, too marching in bands in the Johnson City, TN, Yirayah is a person who understands what it means to let music rule his life. Never afraid to follow in his own path, artistically and creatively, Yirayah found a way to marriage his love of, classic rock, soul, R&B to create a "Rock-N-Soul" - a sound you'll be soon to never forget. As quoted by Yirayah, "I have no way of explaining my music...I live it, and then I pour it from my soul...It's like mind to music".
Yirayah's music is entertaining and heart felt, and he leaves no apologies for speaking on issues that we as grown men and women deal with. From relationships, to life struggles, the lyrics in his songs capture you with a truth that forces you to listen and ultimately relate to his message. His single "Blue Nuts" is a perfect example of Yirayah's style of music; with the chorus "I don't want to fuss and fight, I just want to f@%$ tonight" combined with a rock/soul melody this song is so honest and gritty that it forces his fans to say and believe "damn that makes sense." Yirayah's voice is both soulful and spirited, making it relatable and real. With hints of influences of Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd and Terrance Trent Darby, true fans of music will follow him eagerly.
If you are looking for musical truth without substitutions, gimmicks, or apologies then you're ready to become apart of his world.
