Rucitama (Nicolás Mardones Barbieri) was born in 1988 in Concepción, Chile; began composing at 16, only with acoustic guitar.   In 2008 wins the "Trova Festival" with his song "Corazón de Palo". Was published in the collective album "Concepciones" (Oveja Negra, 2009) which included two of Rucitama's songs ("Corazón de Palo" and "Manifiesto"). In 2012 he launched his first solo production "Lunas de Girasol" (Independent, 2012), an adaptation of five children's poems written by Man...

He has made music for theater and films, and shared the stage with important musicians of national and international scene, as Andrés Lewin, Alejandro Filio, Gepe, Ana Tijoux, Congreso, Pedro Piedra, Evelyn Cornejo, Carolina Frambuesa, Rocío Peña, Javiera Sol, Gabriel Alcayaga and Manuel García, among others.
