Description
The story of the legendary Mata Hari (Indonesian for "Eye of the Day") - the West's first exotic dancer, executed on suspicion of espionage. Always saucy and seductive, the Mata Hari is rumored to have blown a kiss to military officers before they shot her to death. The song combines Latin and Middle Eastern rhythms and harmonies with heavy metal guitars. The violin is prominently featured, a flute plays a dance-like solo, and phrases are punctuated by well-placed Salsa-style trumpet blasts.
