After two years playing regionally throughout the southeast, Chasing Eden spent 2012 recording the follow-up to 2009's The Dying Place. With a refined, heavier sound, the five-piece Wilmington, NC group reemerges with their new EP, Buried Underneath. The release departs from the realm of straight-forward modern rock and explores new sonic depths with the addition of guitarist Glenn Hartzog.
With the guidance of producers Brandon Mills (Decyfer Down) and Nick Radovanovic (Flyleaf, Anberlin, Thousand Foot Krutch), Buried Underneath is poised to take listeners to a new aural peak. This new sound, coupled with the haunting, emotional lyrics of vocalist Andrea Brink, aims to take the audience on a personal journey through anger and heartbreak, forgiveness and self-realization, and perseverance and elation. While the album is a step into heavier, darker side of Chasing Eden, the band holds true to their core with driving, melodic rock, anchored by guitarist Joseph Trouton.
