Brooklyn-born Recording Artist/Songwriter/Dancer, 19 year old, Tony Collins delivers something you can feel. The contemporary R&B crooner skillfully meshes classic soul with a younger new school zest, creating a refreshing urban sound that has a timeless feel, that’s sure to outshine the freshman class of his generation. He incorporates a wide range of genres and styles into his music, carried by edgy lyrics and catchy hooks. Always an enthusiast of music since his humble beginning, Collins first began penning his own songs as early as the age of 12. His dreams of superstardom were supported and primarily inspired by his mother, a gifted vocalist herself and a teenage mom whose career was diverted by Tony’s birth. That made his intention even more compelling, and through the watchful eye of his uncle's C.O.A. Entertainment, the seeds were planted over the years (which included guest appearances on several mix tapes from local MC's, live performances at Linden Theater, BMCC, Medgar Evers, Amazura & Webster Hall). While composing tracks for his forthcoming debut, the syrupy “Fall In Love”, produced by frequent collaborator Canei Finch accidentally leaked onto the blogosphere & quickly tallied an impressive 60,000 + hits within a mere three-week span. With no other outlet of promotions outside the word of mouth buzz and the viral infection caused by pre-existing social networks, the Tony Collins brand of music began to build the anticipation of being the next big thing. Continuing to test the market, other songs making their way to the internet soon after included the charmingly seductive “Get Into You” and the Dre Knight produced club-worthy “Whine For Me,” solidified the singer as a serious crossover contender in 2010. Between a string of live dates, Collins is hard at work on his debut album “Fall In Love” due in 2010. Slated to include gems spanning from the Urban, Pop, R&B/Soul and Reggae realms; the heartthrob is patiently building a versatile body of work that’s sure to win the favor of new audiences once it hits the market. He’s a talented vocalist that embodies the new cool, and with his goal to create music which inspires, impacts, entertains, and enlightens, you can rest assured that Tony Collins is set for a promising career.
