Duby aka Dubey My name is Johnathan Marshall. I was born in the city of love, magic, music, good food, and fun. Oh by the way, I am speaking of the "Big Easy", aka, New Orleans, Louisiana. As a child, my music was R&B, I developed a rhythm early following the Indians on Mardi Gras Day, watching Marching Bands after a jazz funeral and listening to the music ringing out of the bars in the French Quarter, After giving my Mom a hard time, I was sent to my grandmother who lives in a small, rural Mississippi town right off the Gulf Coast. I was 14 years old. It was not a Fresh Prince of Belair experience. Instead, I saw horses, cattle, chickens that were alive with feathers and large gardens. This town is full of gospel music and I joined a choir with a Pentecostal church. They taught me volume, vocal runs and a love for Christian music. I began singing with a group of high school friends. I got the name "Duby", and has been singing and moving every since. I write all of my songs and create my own musical sounds. Listen to my music.
