He listened to music of varying genres and styles and tried to absorb the things he liked about all of them. He sang in a multitude of bands, covering a multitude of styles.It was only when he picked up a guitar for the first time that he realized he didn't just want to sing... he wanted to create. Since then he has been cultivating what he believes to be a powerful first record. Years later, it's finally ready.His debut record Distance Reawakens is a veritable love-letter to guitar-driven pop/rock and was inspired by the emotions that ran through him as he stayed at a college in a small town far away from home. The album begins with "Bored to Death" a song which curses the unstoppable shame he feels since he is no excelling. It is only in the album's title-track that he makes peace with the fact that this experience has taught him an extremely important lesson. "Replaced," the album's lead single follows, detailing a mental breakdown following this epiphany. The clouds and gloom part as the triumphant "When I Awake" ushers in a new day and a promise to change for the better, whereve he may end up.
