Queen Diva is known as a Singer's Singer. Born in Queens, New York yet raised in Houston, Texas Queen Diva’s five octave range voice was classically trained in Prairie View, Texas where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts in Voice at Prairie View A&M University, a part of the Texas A&M University system. She furthered her studies in Music Business-Composition at Rice University Susan M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies. She is a member of ASCAP as a writer and publisher as well as a member the Recording Academy (Grammy’s). She teaches a Masterclass in Music Business at HBCU nationwide and preparing for her Broadway debut in "Strength of a Woman: A Phyllis Hyman Tribute Starring Queen Diva" on September 20, 2017!
Queen Diva’s voice has been compared to having the fervor of Jocelyn Brown, the vocal range of Minnie Riperton, the musicality and phrasing of Phyllis Hyman. All of whom are heavy musical influences for Queen Diva as well as Martha Wash,
Melanie Thornton, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Holliday, Mariah Carey, CeCe Peniston, Adeva and Toni Braxton.
