Virginia has been involved in music since an early age. From the age of 5 she toured local Michigan Churches to showcase with her Mom. Virginia, even at an early age loved performing. Virginia's passion for performing carried her through her elementary, Jr High and High School years. By the age of 21, Virginia had performed in several local bands. Her most memorable Band was 'Top Choice'(like the dog Food) who was a house band for 'The Dog House Lounge'. Virginia continued working with local bands. In her late 20's Virginia worked with a promotional Manager who sent her to Nashville. Virginia spent several years taking trips from Michigan to Nashville. She performed several showcases in Printers Alley where she was spotted by an A.R. rep for Nelson Larken a producer, from Sun Bird Records. Though she was never signed, She was blessed and elated to perform on the Stage of the Newly built 'Grand Ole Opry'. She performed a one song duet with Toby Keith at the 'Fiddle and Steel' printers alley in Nashville. She has opened for such Artist as Tammy Cochran, Steve Holy, Billy Dean, Randy Travis, and in May of this year B.J. Thomas. Virginia has also been honored to perform with Michigan's icon Jessie Couch. In 2003 Virginia was in an almost Fatal Automobile accident which left her hospitalized for 31 days and in a wheelchair for several months. With such a close brush with death, Virginia changed her music direction. She now writes and performs Many inspirational christian songs. Her favorite style of music to write and perform is Country or Blues. so she combined the two and put together a band that could give a Bluesy, old country style with a new country twist. Her band 'Still Waters' is the 'cream of the crop' of the music she loves. The name 'Still Waters' stuck with her after a passage was read to her from the bible: "He lay me down beside 'Still waters' he restoreth my soul". She felt a closeness to these words because of her blessing from God who gave her a second chance. She never looked at her accident as a bad thing but as an opportunity. She found strength she never new she had and truly started living. She will have her first original Cd ready for sale in 2010. In the mean time, she will be touring with her band and sharing her Music ministry.
