Baltimore hip hop artist, Willis DA Illis is known for his flamboyant style and delivery. He was born and raised on b more's east side and displays his Baltimore living experiences throughout his musical performances. He was introduced to music through his older cousin which had a home studio while still in high school. His rap style incorporates the laid back smoothness of Camron or Fabolous, and includes aggressive lyrics. His wordplay and story telling are in a class alone, and his flow is draggy and deep but quiet and low so it almost seems as if his voice is an extra instrument on the beat. Music has been Da Illis's drug of choice since an adolescence, and since he's been creating his own music he's learned trial and error lessons about the music creation process. "Shake Shorty Bounce" was a local club classic in 09, and "Versatile" (just to name a few) is a song by Willis Da Illis that is "sorta wierd in a pleasant type of way...it started fast but finished slow, just like illis". He has three completed projects including the "on da rize mixtapes vol.1 and 2, and dolla chat a self made album about b-more city's street life where he was raised. Willis refers to himself as the wave of the future, and he is a little fast. Find Willis Da Illis on myspace, twitter, or facebook.
