The Assembly Line is an Alternative/Pop/Rock band from NYC, brought together by an ad on Craigslist and a passion for making music. Since forming in 2009, the band has continued to make a name for themselves, seeing success in recent years with placements on hit MTV shows, such as “Teen Mom 2” and “16 & Pregnant”, and receiving rave reviews in the press. The band has shared the stage with some of today’s top acts, including Maroon 5, Wiz Khalifa, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Yellowcard, and more.

The Assembly Line recently introduced their new sound with the release of their latest single, “Empires”. Singer Thor Nguyen says, “’Empires’ is the next step in the evolution of The Assembly Line. With this song, fans will hear glimpses of why they love us and will be introduced to a much bigger sound. It’s about moving forward and not lingering in the past. So it’s only fitting that it be the first single off our upcoming EP, ‘The Places We Leave Behind’.” The band plans to release the new EP this summer, eager to keep up the momentum and continue growing.

“To me, music is important because it creates that shared experience,” singer Thor said. “Music is there when you are happy, sad, angry…it’s that common ground that so many people can identify with. I think it’s an amazing thing when music can manipulate or change your feeling. That’s why I love music so much. It’s there to celebrate, inspire or sympathize with you. What else can do that in 3 minutes?”
