Bill Wren Speaks About His Album, One Day in a Life.
One Day in a Life is an album that reflects my life experiences. The project evolved from deep within my soul. Because of this, I think it flows like light into the heart of every listener. Sometimes mere semantics cannot express the deep-seated feelings of the human condition. Even when there are words that describe an emotion, we have a tendency to look past what we hear with our ears. It is only then that we tend to let our hearts finally take over to search the underlying meaning of what is being said.
All of my life I have loved the magic and mystery that music creates. At times, I have been so entranced in beautiful melodies that my imagination runs wild. And it is only then that the muses in my mind paint and display a perfect tapestry, a musical picture, and display it before my eyes. One Day in a Life was meant to take the listener on this same type of journey. Sure, the album reveals the feelings and events of my own life. However, more importantly, it causes one to ponder their unique journey in life.
The tracks of the album are as carefully placed as they are composed. The album commences as each day does, starting with “Day Break.” This song and the second track, “En Mai” reflect the wonderful times of my youth, summers of innocence, and love. The dark times in my life are displayed as well in songs such as “Betrayal.” There are themes of tender romance in “Lovers Rendezvous” and musing of the beauty and splendor of my later years “I Will Waltz For You.” I even examine my own mortality and short time left on this world within the track “Night Fall.” Last, but not least, “Heart to Heart” is the final song on the album which reveals that these are all of my life experiences. The song states simply that this is my life expressed in music, and I would love to share them with you from my heart to your heart.
What Others Are Saying About One Day in a Life:
By Kelly O'Neil:
If you were to wake up one morning with a song in your head and it stayed with you throughout the day as you went about your activities and interactions it would undoubtedly deviate to fit your mood. If these variations stuck with you until the time you laid back down to bed that night, your mind would have played out a whole soundtrack perfectly composed just for you. Whether it was composer Bill Wren’s intentions or not- he has woven together such a concept in his debut, One Day in a Life.
By Serge Kozlovsky:
Bill Wren’s life experiences were fully reflected in his music. It expresses a wide scale of various emotions. But even all aforesaid is not essential. The main thing is that Bill Wren’s music is very sincere. These are melodies of the open heart which aspires to share its love and passion with the listeners. There is much beauty in Bill Wren’s compositions.
By Stephen Lancaster:
“One Day in A Life”…this song slowly brings you into the atmosphere Bill Wren so eloquently creates. The orchestrated concept of the album really shines through with an opening track such as this, creating that "morning" feeling and the rise of a new day. The beginning...dawn. This song sets the stage for the coming chain of events that will soon lead you to "Night Fall," and that tender kiss the night sky lies upon our weary heads. As the night sky transcends, the album closes with a sensual "Lovers Rendezvous" and a "Heart To Heart."
