Who is Black Suede?
Born by the name of Rod Dowling on April 26, 1988 in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Black Suede, soon after moved to Columbia, SC where he has spent most of his life. In his upbringing, Black Suede was taught to work hard and excel at whatever he chose to do in life. Beyond his scholastic/academic achievements, Suede had developed an unbridled passion to succeed in the music industry.

Suede’s style of music is, primarily, a mixture of smooth R&B, pop, Electro, (and many other Top-40 genres). It’s virtually impossible to “put Suede in a box.” His eclectic style and natural gift cannot be measured against any conventional style of music (present or past).
