Judge for Petey Green

Petey Green born 1985 in NE Washington D.C. is the epitome of a versatile hip hop artist. Influenced by a myriad of musicians which range from Marvin Gaye and Nas to Bone Thugs and Harmony, Scarface and even Nirvana; Petey Green is determined to represent for his hometown of Silver Spring, MD through soulful and entertaining music, and is intent on putting the creative and fun lyrics back into hip hop lyricism. Beginning to write and record lyrics in the basement of his cousin's house in Wheaton, MD Petey Green has been writing performing and entertaining listeners for over 10 years with his undeniable talent skill and passion for the microphone. Starting his career he appeared in several groups such as D.O.G. and later releasing mixtapes that garnered him wide street success under the group names Point Blank and later The Usual Suspects. Petey has endured many deaths of close friends and supporters as well as frequent arrests and failed record label deals over the years, and yet he has managed to keep his name ringing and most recently in 2008 released the independant solo Mixtape effot : Welcome To P-Town as well as the group mixtape "High Gravity" with The 211 Crew besides appearing on Mixtapes from DJ Gemstarr (Shadyville Dj's) to Armani Records' : Hell on Earth Vol.1 and 2. Petey is currently readying an upcoming release tentatively titled "Taking Flight" scheduled to drop in the 1st quarter of 2009.Hip hop fans and true music lovers,be on the lookout for Mo.
