The Skinny Tie Band
And yes that is their age in the brackets! Punk isn't Dead! It is still growing! They are from Orange County, California and their influences include; Babyland, Eastern Conference Champions, Siouxsie, X, NIN, and Joy Division. With a little help from Dad these boys are producing some amazing sounding music.

The Skinny Tie Band

The Skinny Tie Band have been playing for about four years. The first song they recorded was "Shes Bad" when Jordan was only 5. Dad was experimenting with a new chord and picking pattern he learned and they been had listening to a lot of Interpol. Jordan got a portion of "Obstacle One" stuck in his head and Tim couldn't resist hitting the record button. This song can still be heard on there myspace site, but only for another month as it will be replaced by new music!

The two tracks I found in my inbox were Rockin the Unversial and PVPV. Rockin the Unversial is a trippin sounding song with a solid drum beat, haunting gutiar and sweet trippin vocals. PVPV is an instrumental track, with hi hat action and catchy gutiar riffs. One thing I really loved about this music it really takes you on a journey. Listening to The Skinny Tie Band made me think of what I imagined a very young Sonic Youth would of been like! Oh and did I mention these guys are playing gigs! Check out the future here:
