Tommy Bones started in 2006 as a solo project by Tom Engel. Tommy is a native of Iowa. He recorded a 10 song CD titled Scarred. It was combined with a mix of Rock/Alternative/Blues. After the CD was recorded he simply past it around to anybody and everybody for airplay and to get signed. Tommy also started selling the CD which is still selling today at itunes, Best Buy, Amazon, Target, etc. The CD was selling tremendously & so now Tommy relocated To Dallas, Texas where the music scene is hot and would be where he needed to get his band started. (Tommy’s song Alone is featured on Dallas Rockers For Life album, which is awareness against drunk driving).
As of the summer of 2007 Tom Engel would be known as Tommy Bones. He had an idea to revamp the songs off his solo CD and bring it to a modern Rock and Metal sound that would relate to today’s generation. Now he was in search for band members
In late August 2007, Tommy recruited ex-Cirkus From Hell drummer Mike Falzarano from New York City. Mike’s drumming style of heavy rhythm beats was just enough to back Tommy’s songs. With the band almost complete Tommy and Mike were on a search for a solid bass player. From August till late October the two were rehearsing and rearranging the songs for a heavier sound. Towards the end of October x- Dead Babies On Poles- Jon Terranova a rhythm-oriented bassist who has been playing bass on his own for 15 years joined up with the band to make the band complete as a trio. Now within three months, the band was complete, Tommy’s wah pedal and unusual guitar effects, backed with Mike’s heavy drumming and Jon’s heavy bass bottom is what was needed to bring these songs to where they are today
The band Tommy Bones are promoting and booking shows as we speak across Texas. They are also in search of Management who can help bring the band to the top. In the works is a fan club called The Boneyard where you can buy CD’s, T-shirts, etc.
