Portrait of Madeline L Pots
Hi Folks,
Being a musician has to be the best thing in the world, right? I have been playing music since I was a kid. I began focusing on children's music a few years ago. I released my first full cd of original music for kids in July of '07, Gonna' Plant A Garden and just released my second kids music cd, Grandpa's Car.

I have received two Awards of Honor from the 2007 Great American Song Contest and I am a 2007 and 2008 pick on KIDZMUSIC.com, John Woods Reviews. Most recently I won a 2008 Children's Web Music Award.

I love playing for kids - they are a great audience. I have a scrapbook of about 150 thank you notes from kids, including lyrics that they have written and passed on to me and lots and lots of drawings. I treasure them. My beloved instrument is ukulele. Yup, four strings is just my speed. I have, well, alot of ukuleles...and love each of them differently.

The messages in my songs are meant to be encouraging and understanding. The songs are decidedly "folkish" reflecting my 60's influence. That's right, I have been around A LONG time. I am a wife, a mother and a proud Grandma too. And life just keeps gettin' better and better.

Stay tuned.
Love,
Madeline
