Portrait of ChaseCarter
Exactly why the heartland of America has historically given birth to some of rock-n-roll’s most talented musicians and magnanimous songwriters has long been a mystery.

While the conversation persists, the evidence has escalated with “Imbue”, a powerful 5-song EP from Chase, a Chicago-area talent cartel that severs the margins of hard rock with self-penned music and lyrics from Chase Carter and Fred Matthews. It is the follow up to “After”—the band’s 2007 debut release.

“Imbue” clearly reflects the band’s insatiable desire to unselfishly share their heart, soul and passion for music as a spiritual language on a global scale.

It is a vehicle in which Carter and Matthews use to taunt us in to following them down a pristine road that clings to the edge of paying homage to hard rock’s trailblazers while revealing the new direction the genre has been waiting for.

“Imbue” is a vehicle that is definitely worth chasing after.
