Judge for Erin Oakley

I am 26 years old and from the Madison, WI area. I was classically trained in college (soprano), but found that I much preferred to write contemporary songs, and got my start by leading worship in the church. I graduated from Ripon College in 2008 where I self-designed my Music-Entrepreneurship Major. I did this so that I could learn how to better market and manage myself as a performing songwriter. While at Ripon, I won a competition to open for Al Jarreau with one of my original compositions- my first time ever performing was opening for him in front of over 1,000 people.

Since then I've had some small projects sprinkled here and there and currently have a few songs that are played on the radio in Northern Wisconsin, but mainly I do music because I love God and I love people. I am passionate about blessing & encouraging others, and music has been a good vehicle for that. I hope you will enjoy listening to some of my dreams & melodies! :)
