Ashley and Brittany Thomas have been making music since they were ten years old. Ashley plays guitar and Brittany provides percussion while the two trade off blending unique vocal harmonies. Part of the inspiration for their music came from growing up in a musical family. An eclectic group of singer/songwriters inspired Ashley and Brittany to begin writing their own music at the age of seventeen. To name a few, Joni Mitchell, CSNY, Shawn Colvin, Dashboard Confessional, Sheryl Crow, and the Indigo Girls have influenced their harmonies and guitar melodies. Ashley and Brittany are self-taught musicians who enjoy impromptu jam sessions with their friends. They have played in venues such as coffee shops, Club Café and Your Inner Vagabond. Their recently recorded demo CD features the songs Between Black and White, How it was Supposed to Be, and Where to Find my Heart. In Ashley and Brittany’s song Without a Name they sing, “What’s a room without any walls/ if I sing my music will you hear my call?” Hopefully, you will not only hear their call, but truly enjoy their distinctive, organic sound.
