Portrait of Rone
Born in Independence Kansas and now living in Kissimmee Florida, Robert Tyrone Henderson (aka Rone) Has been in love with music since he was a child. Whether he was with his father listening to Soul and Jazz or riding in the car with his mother and experiencing Classical music for the first time, it wasn’t until the age of 13 when he saw the group Boyz II Men performing on television for him to decide thats what he wanted to do. Influenced by talented artists, Tyrone helped put together a group called "Perfect Harmony" with 5 other members singing at pep assemblies, churches, sporting events, birthday parties and weddings winning a few minor singing contests along the way. After his departure from the group, Tyrone decided to not only stop doing cover songs and start writing his own lyrics, but to also produce the music as well.
After a few moves back and forth between Independence Kansas and Tulsa Oklahoma, Rone ended up in Norman Oklahoma where he collaborated with a few artists, hosted a commercial shoot for Grey Goose Vodka, and did a video called "Watch What You Say" with another artist named Navigator. "I can hear the lyrics before I see the words" is how Rone would describe the way he writes "The beat starts and by the time the chorus comes around, I can almost hear how the melody of the song can go"
A very versatile writer, Rone has composed lyrics from R&B, Hip Hop, and Rap, to Alternative and some Rock. Always up working on something new and hardly ever catching up on sleep is how he earned the nickname Rone 24/7.
