Portrait of Missing Method
Missing Method is an Alternative/ Indie Rock band from Salt Lake City, UT formed by Dan Cutler (Vocals, Guitar) in the beginning of 2008. Through mutual friends, he met David Dean (Drums) who had just moved to the area. After working with several different musicians, the two were able to add Chris Henderson (Lead Guitar) to the mix. Each member has very different musical backgrounds, but they find common ground in the Indie Rock genre. Missing Method uses 80's melody with 90's moody rock to tell their stories and create emotional connections with their audience. Fans have related their music to a heavier Maroon 5, Keane, Fuel, Depeche Mode, Nickleback, The Cure, and Stone Temple Pilots. After spending time writing and learning each others playing style, Missing Method started playing shows in the fall of 2009. After playing only 6 shows, they were asked personally by Art Alexakis of Everclear to open up for them at the Murray Theater in November 2009. Missing Method are currently recording with top Engineer Mike Greene (David Archuleta, B.B. King, Wynona Judd) on their debut CD. They are also building their fan base one show at a time and plan on touring very hard to support the release of their debut CD.
