Portrait of Badluck Bandits
What kind of music does Badluck Bandits play? The only thing that should be branded should be a letter going into the mail. If anything, Badluck Bandits could be considered "World Music", or "Composers of Life". They play what they feel and play whats in their hearts. You could possibly see this band opening for Yani, Flogging Molly, or maybe Iron Maiden, but one thing for sure is the Badluck Bandits will get the crowd going and play a hell of a show.

In the summer of 2005, three teens came together to form Badluck Bandits: Sammy Ruiz on Guitar/Lead Vox, David Cisneros on Drums/Backing Vox, and Albert Muro on Bass/Lead Vox. Originating out of Los Angeles, Badluck Bandits are a great upcoming hardworking young band. With each member coming from different backgrounds of music, the Badluck Bandits sound is very distinct. Their music consists of certain types of music such as: Punk, Gypsy Jazz, Rock'N'Roll, Ska, Country, and Bluegrass. With this combination Badluck Bandits have created a sound of their own.

It all started in Eagle Rock Highschool when the boys talked about forming a band for the Yearly "Battle of the Bands". With lots of practice, hardwork and song writing, they won 1st Place Grand Prize in the contest. This accomplishment got them in local newspapers and great exposure. After graduating High School, the boys wanted to take the band to the next level and decided to cut their 1st Debut Album "Dead Man's Hand". After the hardwork and endless hours in the studio the album was released in August of 2007. The album was constantly selling out in stores, being played on radio stations, and was being reveiwed in Magazines. They pushed the new CD by touring and exposing it to such locations as: San Diego, Sacramento, Arizona, Nevada, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, and Fresno.

Badluck Bandits started off 2008 very strong by playing the House of Blues Hollywood to a sold out crowd and playing full house shows at the Roxy, Knitting Factory and other hot spots throughout Los Angeles. In September of 2008 they were given the oppertunity to open up for the legendary RANCID at the House of Blues in Anahiem were Johnny "2 Bags" Wickershim of Social Distortion joined them for a couple songs. 2008 was a great year filled with great opertunities. At the end of the year Badluck Bandits are going to hit the studio for the next album. Everyone is in for quite a surprise.
