Portrait of Jake McVey
You're inspired by Jake McVey's songs and his presence. With every phrase you share the passion of his words and his dedication to the music. The clarity of his soulful Midwestern vocals and his optimistic point of view come to life for everyone, from the first seat in the house to the scalper in the parking lot. Jake McVey's intensity lives through his commitment to his art -- from the guitars that he has designed and built, to the professionals who perform live with him.

Along with his fans, critics have recognized his spirit, as Jake has been winning over hearts and souls in every performance. Performing professionally since 2001 McVey brings together the best of old country with new dynamics. He has written over 200 songs in this style and toured over 300 shows each year with his band in 2007 and 2008, all across the United States. McVey has arrived on the Nashville scene, with cuts released to radio stations across the country, selling over 5,000 copies and downloads of his first album, "Unknown Highway." Jake McVey is in a category of his own. He has shared the stage with the likes of Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, Sugarland, Exile, Keith Anderson, Jason Aldean, .38 Special, Heartland, Mark Chesnutt, Little Big Town, and others.

With high energy performances and crowd involvement, this is an entertainer who stands out from the rest. This is a man who lives and performs by the words of his album's inspiring title song, "Follow your heart, don't be afraid of that unknown highway. The good Lord will help you help yourself and give it your best try. It's all up to you which road you choose, so follow your heart . . . ."
