He say’s “that worm in the bottle makes the best bass bait”. He’s Don Juan, meets George Strait. He’s the original honky tonkin’ hillbilly, Spanish speaking,
bass fishing, king of the cantinas…Meet…Mario Flores.
Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, Mario’s singing career began with the Terrell Wells Boys Choir and he has also performed with the San Antonio Symphony. Midway into his career, Mario performed in several traveling international operas such as Don Giovanni, Carmen, The Prodigal Son and Damnation of Foutz.
In 2007, Mario Flores formed The Soda Creek Band in Helotes, TX. He and the band currently play night clubs, corporate events and private events all over San Antonio and South Texas.
Although he respects his Latin roots and Classical training, his passion is singing Texas Country Music. His biggest influences are Steve Wariner, Vern Gosdin and Johnny Rodriquez. In June of 2010, Mario will be releasing his first full length album which is already receiving great reviews. Mario’s goal is to have a hit record and it looks like he’s well on his way to achieving that goal.
