Judge for Austin Brook

Austin is a singer/songwriter in Los Angeles, CA. "I'm proud of the fact that I make all the music on my own from start to finish." Austin started out playing piano at a very early age. "It was always something I just gravitated towards." After playing with a few bands he decided to teach himself guitar. "Playing piano and guitar was very satisfying, but I felt the lyrics were such an important part of the song and I wanted to learn to sing." After he moved to Los Angeles from the Atlanta/Athens area of Georgia he began working with local songwriter and vocal instructor Libby Lavella. Austin is continuing to write, record, and produce his own music and playing live shows. "This is a part of me and I love the experiences, the people I meet, what I learn everyday, and the satisfaction of creating something new. This is more about the journey than any particular destination." Eventually, Austin wants to create his own indie label focusing on emerging acoustic artists.
