Portrait of THE COMMISSION 801
Empowered with talent. Driven By passion. Bound by their shared love for music. The Commission is motivated to bringing you a raw and uncut sound, expressing their struggle and ideals lyrically. Defining themselves and their way of life through Hip Hop.

Inspired by artists such as Rakim, The Geto Boys, Nas, Latino Velvet and the late Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., The Commission was created by three very talented artists/producers. George Bendfeldt aka SaavyYola, Cole Shields aka Coleone and Norman Longshaw aka Pravity. Each artist adding their own unique touch and style to the crew. Bringing a new sense of style to Hip Hop and its mainstream.

From a young age each artist experienced the hardships and disadvantages life can unfortunately offer. From broken homes and family troubles to detention centers, creating a negative environment with little hope for a positive outcome or alternative. It was with these setbacks that helped provide an outlet to express lyrically the struggles everyday life entails, as well as hoping to reach out to others in similar situations through music society could deem not only as rap, but a form of self expression. Through the love for Hip Hop and possibly fate, these artists would collaborate to create original and independent music through inspirations involving love, hate, life, death, politics and most important, family.

The Commission is taking music to another level. With remarkable talent, lyrics, beats, commitment and stage performance, they have performed for numerous artists including: E40, Dolla, Tech Nine, and 2 Live Crew. Not to mention several local clubs and events. Utah isn’t the only state showing love and appreciation for The Commission, Vegas local radio station KVEGAS shows support as well, playing various tracks from their album Money Motive.

The passion and determination they put into their music is apparent from the start. Stopping at nothing to get their point across through personal experiences, beliefs and self expression.
