Portrait of Elven
'04: ELVEN (from Norw. "the river": the name evokes the atmosphere of the natural landscape of the area where the band lives, and express its passion for Nordic culture) was born from an idea of guitarist / vocalist Andrea C. (Berg) and bassist Davide C. (Ilden). Few months later singer Iviana B. (Ivy) joins the band, giving particularity to a style considered generally "male" from a vocal point of view.

'05: Self-produced demo "DAMNED MARSH" release, a concept album related to local history, chronicles, legends and natural atmosphere. Live debut of the band.

'06: After completing a good live season with Dream Live Contest, with great appreciation both from audience and jury, the line up of the band changes, joining Andrea M. (Dest) - keyboards, and Paolo L. (Hammer) - drums.

'07: The band's forced to stop the recordings of the promo EP "SOMETHING WICKED", for another line up change: from Feb. '05 to Nov. '07, the band has also a second guitar , unfortunately only for short periods.

'08: Back in the studio: renunciation of the second guitar, considering that the band had to face long delays to solve problems, braking its composing, studio and live activity too often. Self-produced promo EP "SOMETHING WICKED" release.

'08 / '09: ELVEN works on the first full length album, while the band's live activity continues: every concert offers songs from the future album as a preview.

'09: The recordings are scheduled for the winter, but the band stops again: Berg joins as lead guitarist the Norwegian doom metal band Syrach (Napalm Rec.), leaving soon for a double European tour. Berg and Ivy move to Bergen.

'10: Restarting the recordings, half in Italy half in Norway, ELVEN are already writing the new songs for the second album. The programming of the band's live activity for 2011 goes on!
