Portrait of nabraska
Who is Nabraska? A poet, a teacher, a activist—some would say all that and then some. He began his poetic journey as a youth, and grew into his skills a scribe through open mics, slams, featured, and performances, live, with musicians. Nabraska has toured throughout the South, Midwest, West, and East coasts. He has also taught spoken word workshops with youth through various schools and community centers.

Who is Nabraska? Some would say a poet’s poet, because of his passion and dedication to the art form. A unadulterated supporter of carious cenues he can usually be found online and offline listening, speaking, and respection spoken word. His influences can be traced back like a Black history lesson—Langston Hughes, Claude McKay, Paul Lawrence Dunbar, Phillis Wheatly, The Last Poets, Sonja Sanchez, Amir Baraka, Rakim, and Tupac; just to name a few.

Who is Nabraska? Others would express his involvement in the community, supporting business, children, and causes whenever called. His inspiration is derived from his involvement with, the community, the country, and the world. Nabraska places the experience of five senses on paper, as well as the stage. He is an activist cataloging information through his poetry, other’s poetry, music, and visuals. Attempting to right the wrong, or write the wrong—. Nabraska has an uncanny spirit that speaks on injustices, education, and knowledge.
